Interest only payments are being used which is great for the Borrower that wants the option to make a larger principal payment at his or her own discretion. The savings in these types of loans are about $300 to $400 a month.
There are many loan programs available for todays Borrower. The 30 year fixed rate jumbo loans that have the first 10 years at an Interest Only payment is great. The loan then is fully amotized for 20 years at the same rate, this is an incredible loan.
